Le Colonial Fort Cochin, Kerala

Le Colonial, by the Chinese fishing nets of Cochin is probably Asia's oldest colonial house- dating back to 1506. Just adjacent to St. Francis Church, it is reputed to have housed Vasco da Gama and the Saint. After 150 years as the Protuguese Governer's home, it was one of the rare houses not to be destroyed when Dutch took Fort Cochin. It housed the Dutch Governors for century and a half till Ian vas Spall sold it to the British in 1795, who in turn, passed it to J.Thomas, the legendary English trader of tea.

These five captive centuries of history, have been lovingly restored and a veritable living museum. Art treasures from the colonial past now revive a scent of that era, making it a 'club' for discerning travellers.

Accomodation

• Full house booking per week (7 nights) Rs.8,00,000 in peak-season, Rs.4,75,000 in mid-season and Rs.3,25,000 in low-season on full board.
• Room tariff is payable in advance to confirm bookings.
• Room tariff includes breakfast and one meal.
• Check-in time is 2 p.m. Check-out time is 12 noon.
• Bar facility is not yet available.
• Luxury tax on rooms as per Government regulations.

Food & Beverages

• Fixed menus are offered at the per head rates
  - Lunch Rs.800/- and Dinner Rs.800/- (taxes extra)
• Sales tax on food & beverages as per Government regulations.
• No charge for children below 4 years and half rates for children below 10.

Cancellation Charges

• 25% if cancelled four days in advance.
• 50% if cancelled two days in advance.
• 50% if few of the total booked rooms are cancelled.
• 100% if cancelled one day prior to booking or on the same day.
• Credit card cancellations will be charged 3% extra.

Regulations

• No postponement of booking will be entertained and they will be treated as per the cancellation policy.
